The O’Brien and Austin team has been on a tear the last two races with Kris Krabill at the wheel. Coming off a win at Sacramento four weeks ago, coming into Mission was going to be tough with5 American teams and 5 Canadian teams fighting for the prize. Kris and the team qualified #2 with a 5.88 at 247 mph. First round saw the O’Brien and Austin entry against Brad Faria. During the run, Krabill had to pedal the car to a 6.16 at 235mph. In the second round, Krabill had a bye run and ran a 6.07 at 238mph…
The next appearance for the team with be in Mission, Canada July 20-22.
The Obrien and Austin team has won for the first time with new driver Kris Krabill in conditions that were less than favorable. With 145 degree track temperatures, Kris Krabill beat Jason Ruppert 5.91 to a 5.91 with Krabill taking the holeshot win.
Kris Krabill drove his first race for the Austin and Obrien entry this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The team did not qualify but with a little adjustments, they will be ready to go for the next race at Funny Car Fever June 15th and 16th in Sacramento.
