The Austin & O’Brien funny car took out Don Hudson in the second round running another stout 5.69. Don Hudson gave it a very valiant effort but crossed the center line at about half track. Kris Krabill and the Bardahl/Dayton Superior backed AA/FC will take on Dan Horans “The Patriot” in the final round. Dan Horan took out Ryan Hodgson in the semi finals, 5.67 to a 5.85. Final round is scheduled for 5:30, stay tuned for results!

After a tough day Of Saturday qualifying, the Austin & O’Brien funny car had a nerve wracking first round pairing against Don Nelsons “California Hustler”. Kris ended up in the fifth qualifying position and Cory Lee in fourth. Not only did Kris Krabill and the Bardahl/Dayton Superior sponsored Northwest Hitter take the win first round, they also set the track record running a 5.67 at 248 MPH. After a very memorable weekend in Bakersfield, Kris Krabill has put his energy and focus on Firebird Raceways 46th Annual Nitro Ignitor. This is the second stop on the NHRA Heritage Series Tour, the event brings 16 cars together qualifying for an 8 car field. Day 1, Qualifying Session 1 was an eventful session. Kris Krabill and the Austin and OBrien Nitro Funny car showed dominance at the recent March Meet. Not only did Krabill win the race against Steven Densham, but he also ran the fastest pass ever for a Nostalgia funny car at 5.552 seconds. Krabill also became the 6th member of the prestigious 260mph club.

The Austin and OBrien Nitro Funny Car team just completed a weekend of testing to get dialed in for the March Meet race March 3-6th at Famoso Raceway in Mcfarland, Ca. The team with driver Kris Krabill completed 5 runs with the best of a 5.73 at 248mph. As Krabill stated “We could not ask for a better test going into the race. The team was amazing and we had no parts damage in the 5 laps.” Look for the Austin and OBrien team to be a force for the March Meet event coming up in two weeks.
Coming off of a much desired win in Boise at the Nightfire Nationals, Kris Krabill is ready for another chance at the Nitro Funny Car Championship Title. It all comes down to the California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield, CA. Krabill is currently sitting 64 points behind Steven Densham. The Bardahl sponsored car will also be making up a rain out race from Mission, BC earlier this year during the qualifying sessions for Nitro Funny Car. After a semi final finish at the 2015 Good Vibrations March Meet, Krabill sits third in points heading into the Napa Auto Parts Ignitor in Boise, ID. Kris made 3 appearances in eliminations at the March Meet. First round, Kris lined up against former teammate and tuner, Cory Lee.
